The Spring Arbor University Men's Basketball team raced out to an 18 point halftime lead and never looked back, cruising to a 70-60 win in a Crossroads League tilt with the Bethel College Pilots on Wednesday.
Freshman
Gabe Newhof continued with his hot play, as he went 9/13 from the field and 11/15 from the free throw line to register a game high 29 points. The Hudsonville, Michigan native also grabbed nine boards and blocked three shots in the contest.
Fellow freshman
Travis Grayson poured in 24 points to go with three steals and three assists for the Cougars.
Spring Arbor moved to 8-8 overall and 2-4 in the Crossroads League with the win, while Bethel falls to 11-5 and 3-3 in league play with the result.
Spring Arbor will be back in action Saturday when they welcome Mount Vernon Nazarene to the MacDonald Athletic Center for another Crossroads League matchup.
