WYOMING, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team opened the 2023-24 season with a dominant 89-31 victory over Grace Christian University on Thursday night.
Alana Nelson had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the way for the Cougars while
Alex Long followed with 15 points.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor outscored Grace Christian 18-5 in the first quarter and never looked back.
- SAU shot 38 percent from the field while limiting the home team to 22 percent shooting. The Cougars forced 35 turnovers and also finished with a 51-40 advantage in rebounds.
- Nelson posted a game-high 18 points with nine rebounds and Long followed with 15 points. Emma Smieska chipped in 12 points and nine boards while Bailey Vissman finished with 10 points in her collegiate debut.
