Box Score Goshen, IN - The Cougars took to the hardwood today and defeated the Goshen Maple Leafs on the road, winning by a score of 81-70.

Neither team shot the ball particularly well, as both put up sub-40% shooting from the floor for the game. Regardless, Spring Arbor took a four point advantage into halftime, leading by a score of 35-31. The Cougars came bursting out of halftime, however, and opened with a 10-0 run to push their lead to 15. From there, the Cougars never looked back.

The Maple Leafs managed to battle back and turn what once was a 14 point Cougar advantage back into a 4 point deficit heading into the fourth. The Cougars again opened up the quarter firing on all cylinders, but this time kept their lead at double digits. They again led by 14 following two free throws by
Alana Nelson at the 3:28 mark, and cruised to an 11 point victory from there.

Alana Nelson returned to the lineup without skipping a beat, scoring a game high 29 points and grabbing down 10 rebounds.
- Spring Arbor saw three players post double-doubles on the afternoon, an impressive feat for a team. Aside from Nelson, Senior
Grace Shoobridge went for 11 points and 12 rebounds. And junior
Alize Tripp posted 14 points and dished out a season-high 10 assists.
- The Cougars held the Maple Leafs to 35% shooting from the floor and 33% shooting on 3-pointers while the Cougars posted 45% and 36% shooting splits.
- With this win, the Cougars officially sweep the season series versus Goshen, the first time they've done so since the 2019-20 season.
- The Cougars sit at 9-8 in conference play, and a win in their season finale next Wednesday would secure them a home game in the first round of the Crossroads League tournament.
- Goshen was led by Sophia Eli, who scored 16 points.
