Cougars unable to overcome Foresters hot bats

HUNTINGTON, IN. – The Cougars wrapped up their season series with the Huntington Foresters this past Tuesday, but were unable to earn a win, as the Foresters took two more games from Spring Arbor, and swept the season series.

In game 1, Spring Arbor held a 1-0 lead following an RBI double from the bat of Landon Raczkowski in the 1st inning.

The lead was short lived, however, as Huntington responded in a big way by tallying 10 runs in the next three innings to push the game out of reach. They would go on to win 15-4.

Game 2 on the afternoon turned out to be much more competitive. The Cougars held a 5-4 advantage in the 6th inning following a single from Jake Spedoske that brought in two runs.

The Foresters tied the game back up the following inning, and after Spring Arbor was unable to produce much on offense in the bottom of the 7th, the Foresters erupted for four runs to build a four-run lead. The Cougars were unable to mount a comeback and lost 9-5.
