Marion, IN. – The Spring Arbor softball team looked to take their recent hot play and play spoiler to the #20 ranked Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats, but those plans were ultimately foiled yesterday, as the Cougars dropped both games.
Game one was a game to forget for the Cougars, as they were shut out and only managed to earn one hit in the entire game, coming in the form of a single in the third inning. They lost 0-5.
Any hopes of game two going differently were abruptly snuffed out, as the Wildcats posted eight runs in the first inning to create a lead that proved insurmountable for Spring Arbor. The Cougars again struggled mightily at the plate, this time losing by a final score of 0-12.
