SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – A career-high performance from
Gabe Newhof powered the Spring Arbor University men's basketball team past Goshen College 113-73 on Wednesday night at the McDonald Athletic Center.
The 113 points are the most scored by SAU in a game this season, and the most by the team since scoring a program record 148 against Greenville University in 2021.
Newhof accounted for a career-high 40 of those points on 16-of-27 shooting while going 8-for-10 from the free throw line in just 26 minutes of action.
All 13 SAU players found the scoring column on the night. In addition to Newhof's 40, three other Cougars finished in double figures.
Kevyn Robertson had 15,
Trey Cottingham had 13 and
Dante Favor had 10.
