MARION, IN. – After a season-opening win against Cornerstone last night, Spring Arbor Men's Basketball took the floor again for their second matchup of the Crossroads/WHAC challenge against Indiana Tech.
The two teams were pretty much deadlocked throughout the first half, with the Cougars taking a slim 39-37 advantage into the break.
Gabe Newhof and
Aden Zank supplied most of the offense in that first half, with Newhof scoring 15 points, and Zank adding 9 courtesy of three triples.
The second half started off similar to the first, with the teams even through the first 9 minutes before a 10-2 Indiana Tech run shot them ahead for good, eventually taking the contest by a 79-66 margin. Newhof once again led all scorers in the half with 10, finshing with a game high 25 points.

- Gabe Newhof picked up where he left off from game one, finishing with 25 points on 10-14 shooting, along with 4 rebounds.
- Travis Grayson had another strong contest, finishing with 13 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds.
- Aden Zank added a needed jolt offensively off the bench, finishing 3-5 from behind the arc, with 11 points and 4 boards.
- Dante Favor played a big role defensively, with 3 blocks and a steal, also adding 6 points and 8 rebounds, along with 2 assists.
