SPRING ARBOR, Mich. –
Alana Nelson became the newest member of the Spring Arbor University women's basketball 1,000 point club on Saturday as the Cougars defeated visiting Huntington University 79-69.
Nelson, who needed just seven points to reach the milestone, finished with 15 bringing her collegiate total to 1,490 career points after she recorded 482 points in her two seasons at Northwood University prior to joining the Cougars.
Spring Arbor moves to 21-5 overall on the year with a 12-4 mark in the Crossroads League.
