HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Spring Arbor University came up just short of knocking off third-seeded Huntington University in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals on Wednesday night as the Cougars fell to the Foresters 71-68.
Spring Arbor erased a second-half double-digit deficit, but Huntington's Zach Goodline banked in a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to allow the Foresters to escape with the victory.

- Huntington led by three at the half, 34-31, and ballooned the margin to 11, 57-46, at the midway mark of the second half.
- Gabe Newhof and Travis Grayson combined for the next 15 Spring Arbor points to get the Cougars back within three, 64-61, with 2:45 remaining in the game.
- With less than a minute to go, Newhof converted an old-fashioned three-point play to tie the score, 68-68.
- After a defensive stop, the Cougars had a chance to win the game but Grayson's shot with five seconds left came up empty.
- Huntington had one final chance with 1.3 seconds left on the clock, and Goodline would bank in a 3-pointer just before the horn sounded.
- Newhof had a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds while Grayson also had 24 points. Kevyn Robertson was one rebound short of a double-double, finishing with 10 points and nine boards.
- Huntington's Lane Sparks finished with 23 points and Goodline followed with 22.
