SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team saw its season come to an end Saturday in the second round of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship as the No. 9-seeded Cougars fell to No. 1-seed Dordt University 87-67.
Spring Arbor finished the season with an overall record of 24-8 – the most wins since posting 31 in the 1998-99 campaign – and made the national tournament for the first time since 1999.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor trailed Dordt by just three, 17-14, after the first 10 minutes, but the top-seeded Defenders were able to take control of the game in the second quarter.
- Dordt held SAU to 4-of-15 shooting and outscored the Cougars 21-10 in the second period to take a 38-24 lead into halftime.
- Dordt was able to stretch the margin to 20 by the end of the third quarter, 68-48, and maintained that lead the rest of the way.
- Sydney Aunins had a team-high 12 points and Alex Long followed with 11. Alayna Kulesza and Alana Nelson added 10 points each.
