HUNTINGTON, Ind. – After suffering a pair of losses over the weekend, the Spring Arbor University softball team bounced back with two key Crossroads League victories on Monday, going on the road to defeat Huntington University 8-1 and 13-5.
The wins bring Spring Arbor's overall record to 27-14 with a 19-9 mark in league play.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor scored three runs in the first inning with two of those coming on a base hit by Grace Lentz.
- The Cougars held a 4-1 lead after five innings but broke the game wide open with four runs in the sixth.
- Payton Grange went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Lentz finished with three RBIs.
- Emmalee Hamp pitched a complete game allowing one run on four hits while striking out eight batters.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Huntington used a five-run second inning to take a 5-3 lead.
- Spring Arbor pulled ahead with a three-run third inning on RBI hits by Brooke Meeker and Elaina Walker.
- The Cougars erupted for five runs in the fifth inning – highlighted by a three-RBI triple by Hamp – to put the game out of reach.
- Walker posted three hits and four RBIs while Summer Ambler also collected three hits. Hamp finished with three RBIs and three runs scored.
- Elena Jones pitched 4.2 innings of shutout relief allowing only two hits and striking out two.
