SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University men's soccer team started the 2024 campaign with a bang on Saturday night at the Cougar Soccer Complex. The Cougars scored 11 goals in a shutout victory over Rochester Christian University.
The 11 goals were the most scored in a SAU squad in at least the last 20 seasons.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Rood Schnaider got the scoring started early, finding the back of the net just 20 seconds into the match.
- Spring Arbor went on to tally six more in the opening half, including a stretch of five goals in 10 minutes.
- The second half started in similar fashion with Schnaider scoring less than two minutes into the period. The Cougars added three more en route to the 11-0 victory.
- Schnaider and Kaelan Debbage registered two goals and two assists each. Jack Reynolds also had two assists to go along with a goal.
- Senior Eyad Ali and sophomore Bryson Schinzing recorded the first goals of their careers.
- Goalkeepers Victor Jaunay and Noah Stambaugh combined for the shutout.
