SAU sweeps CL Bowler of the Week honors

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University's Cody Hall and Kayla Tafanelli were named the Crossroads League Men's and Women's Bowlers of the Week following impressive performances at the Falcon Classic on Saturday.
 
This is the second time Hall and Tafanelli have combined to sweep the league's weekly honor with the happening for the week of Jan. 27 – Feb. 4 last year. The award is the third of Hall's career while Tafanelli picked up her fifth.
 
Hall finished runner up at the Falcon Classic with 732 pins in three games. The senior from Jackson, Michigan averaged 244 pins per game and helped the Cougars take home the team title.
 
It was the second first place finish of the season for SAU after also winning the Cougar Classic.
 
Tafanelli ran away with the individual title on the women's side with 782 pins in three games, winning by more than 100 pins. The junior from Warren, Michigan rolled a 300 in her third game of the day, which was the first in the history of the SAU women's program, and helped the Cougars secure the team crown.
 
Along with the win over the weekend, the SAU women's team has won the Cougar Classic and the WHAC Open, giving the team three tournament victories so far this season.
 
Spring Arbor will be at Crest Lanes in Marion, Indiana on Friday, Dec. 5 for CL Tournament #1 and EZ Lanes in Bluffton, Indiana on Saturday, Dec. 6 for CL Tournament #2.
