Women’s Soccer falls to Marian in league semifinals

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 21 ranked Spring Arbor University women's soccer team battled to the final whistle but came up just short against No. 2 Marian University, falling 1-0 on Saturday night in the Crossroads League Tournament Semifinals.

MATCH SUMMARY
  • In a tight match between two nationally ranked sides, neither team could find the back of the net during the first half of play, but the Knights finally broke the deadlock in the 68th minute on what would prove to be the only goal of the game.
  • Spring Arbor continued to press in the closing minutes, generating a couple of looks at goal, but could not find the equalizer against a Marian defense that has allowed just a handful of goals all season.
