Tafanelli, Steinke headline All-CL honors

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's bowling team added some individual hardware to its fourth straight conference title as the Crossroads League announced its postseason honors. Kayla Tafanelli and Ella Steinke headlined the award haul with Player of the Year accolades and Devon Thomas was selected to the First Team All-League while Rich Bradley was named the Coach of the Year.
 
Tafanelli claimed the Crossroads League Bowler of the Year honor along with her second straight First Team All-League selection. An NAIA All-American last year, she led the Cougars to six tournament victories this season while posting five individual first place finishes. The sophomore from Warren, Michigan averaged a 200.0 over 43 games bowled.
 
Steinke made an immediate impact in her rookie campaign on her way to collecting the Crossroads League Newcomer of the Year award along with a Second Team All-League selection. Her 190.25 average ranked second on the team. The Joliet, Illinois native recorded three top-10 and two top-5 finishes in nine events.
 
Devon Thomas received her fourth straight All-League honor after being named to the First Team this season. The senior from Joliet, Illinois ranked third on the team with a 188.6 average over 36 games bowled. She posted four top-10 finishes and top-5's.
