Spring Arbor University's
Gabe Newhof received First Team All-America honors for his accomplishments on the court and in the classroom. He was a Second Team selection a year ago.

The junior forward also claimed his third straight All-Crossroads League honor while leading the team in scoring for the third consecutive year averaging 21.5 points per game, which ranked second in the Crossroads League. He had four 30-point performances this season, including a 36-point effort against Grace Christian.
In three seasons, Newhof has scored 1,911 points, which ranks as the ninth-most in SAU history, and recorded 703 rebounds, which ranks 20th.
Newhof, from Hudsonville, Michigan, is a financial planning major with a 3.97 GPA.
The CSC Academic All-District and All-American awards are designed to showcase outstanding student-athletes with a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average who have reached sophomore status academically and have played in at least 90-percent, or started in 66-percent of their team's competitions as a key performer during the current season.
CSC Academic All-American honors are voted on by CSC members from around the nation. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must first be selected as CSC Academic All-District performers, after being nominated by their institution's Sports Information Department.
