Five Cougars, Men’s Basketball receive NABC academic honors

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University men's basketball had five student-athletes named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court. The list includes Trey Cottingham, Tyler DeSimpelare, Gabe Newhof, Eli White and Aden Zank.
 
The NABC Honors Court features junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
 
Spring Arbor's five honorees were a part of more than 2,400 student-athletes that were recognized across the nation among all divisions of college basketball. The NABC Honors Court highlights the talents and gifts that these men possess on the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.
 
In addition to the individual honors, SAU was also recognized as one of 400 schools from all divisions across the nation to be recognized with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, honoring those teams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2024-25 season.
