UPLAND, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University softball season came to an end at the Crossroads League Tournament on Thursday where the Cougars fell to the University of Saint Francis 9-1.
Saint Francis struck first with a three-run home run in the third inning and added two more runs in the fourth to build a 5-1 advantage.
In the sixth inning, USF tallied four more runs to bring the run-rule into effect.
Spring Arbor recorded seven hits, including two from
Payton Grange, while
Matajia Cerroni drove in the Cougars' only run with an RBI double in the fourth inning.
