SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University held steady at No. 23 in the second regular season edition of the NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released by the national office on Wednesday.
Spring Arbor is one of five Crossroads League teams in the rankings, joined by No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan University, No. 16 Mount Vernon Nazarene University, No. 21 Marian University and No. 22 Taylor University.
Head coach
Betsy Martinez and the Cougars still rank among the national leaders in wins this season with 14 – tied for the fourth-most in the country, including three victories over teams ranked or receiving votes in the poll.
Kendall Bollenbacher has posted a team-high 161 kills this season while
Kelsie Lilly and
Isabelle Kirkendall have totaled 145 and 144, respectively.
Keely Hinzman currently ranks top-10 in the NAIA in total blocks with 70 (1.15 blocks per set) to go along with 117 kills and a .316 hitting percentage.
Spring Arbor (14-3, 2-3 CL) plays host to the University of Saint Francis (4-13, 0-5 CL) on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m.
