No. 23 Volleyball cruises past Saint Francis in straight sets

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – No. 23 Spring Arbor rolled to a straight-set victory over the University of Saint Francis on Saturday night inside the McDonald Athletic Center.
 
The Cougars improved to 15-3 on the season and evened their Crossroads League record at 3-3 with the win.

Spring Arbor set the tone early with a balanced attack that overwhelmed the visitors. SAU finished the night with 43 kills at a blistering .368 hitting percentage, while holding Saint Francis to a negative attack percentage.
 
The Cougars' defense also shined, piling up 40 digs and controlling the net with five blocks.
 
Isabelle Kirkendall posted a match-high 14 kills with a .500 hitting percentage. Kendall Bollenbacher followed with seven kills and three aces. Palmer Fortress finished with 16 digs and Keely Hinzman added three blocks.
 
Spring Arbor is back at home on Wednesday, Sept. 24 against Bethel University (11-8, 3-3 CL) starting at 7 p.m.
