Cristini voted National Player of the Week

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University's Jack Cristini has been selected as this season's first NAIA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday.
 
It is the first national player of the week honor for Cristini, who also received his third career Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week award.
 
Cristini posted two more shutouts in goal for the Cougars in wins over St. Francis (Ill.) and Judson. The Toronto native totaled eight saves, with six coming in the 1-0 blanking of Judson.
 
In four games this season, Cristini has made 11 saves and has yet to allow a goal in 360 minutes of action.
 
The Cougars (4-0-0) travel to Florida this week where they will meet No. 18 Keiser University on Thursday, Sept. 4 and St. Thomas University on Saturday, Sept. 6.
