Chapman earns CL Player of the Week honors

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University's Haven Chapman has been named the Crossroads League Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
 
The award is the second of the season for Chapman, who was also named the Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 10-16.
 
Chapman was active on the defensive end for the Cougars in wins over Bethel University and Goshen College, registering 12 defensive rebounds, six steals and two blocks. For the week, the freshman averaged 12.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per outing.
 
On the season, Chapman ranks second on the team in scoring (9.8 points per game) steals (36) and blocks (12) while leading the way with her total 100 rebounds.
 
Spring Arbor (15-2, 6-1 CL) has a pair of home games this week. The Cougars play Taylor University (14-3, 4-3 CL) on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 5 p.m. and faces off against No. 7 University of Saint Francis (16-1, 6-1 CL) on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m.
