GOSHEN, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team turned in a strong road performance Saturday afternoon defeating Goshen 72-44.
With the win, the Cougars improve to 15-2 overall and 6-1 in Crossroads League play.
Spring Arbor set the tone early, jumping out to a 19-7 lead after the first quarter and maintaining control the rest of the way.
Haven Chapman led SAU with 15 points while adding five rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.
Megan Zeitz followed with 13 points and six rebounds, and
Ashley Weller contributed 12 points.
The Cougars were sharp on the defensive end, holding Goshen to 31 percent shooting while forcing 27 turnovers, which SAU converted into 21 points.
Spring Arbor plays host to Taylor University (14-3, 4-3 CL) on Wednesday, Jan. 14 starting at 5 p.m. from the McDonald Athletic Center.
