SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University's Megan Zeitz has earned Crossroads League Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.

Zeitz collected six steals to help No. 25 Spring Arbor open the season with an 87-44 victory over Cleary University on Thursday at American 1 Credit Union Arena. She also contributed 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Her six steals were one shy of her career-high and led a defensive effort that produced 25 steals and forced 33 turnovers. The Cougars converted those turnovers into 43 points while limiting Cleary to 32.6 percent shooting.

The Cougars travel to Indiana University Southeast on Wednesday, Oct. 28, for a 6 p.m. tipoff in New Albany, Indiana.
