Women's Tennis Tops Olivet

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team earned a 5-2 victory over The University of Olivet on Saturday, picking up its second win of the spring.
 
With the victory, the Cougars now sit at 4-4 overall on the season.
 
Olivet claimed the doubles point with Spring Arbor's lone doubles win coming at No. 1, a 6-4 win from Alivia Mott and Elizabeth Pardy.
 
However, the Cougars responded in singles play to secure the team victory.
 
Sophia Wallstrom won at No. 2, 6-3, 6-1, and Anna Staal followed with a 7-5, 6-4 decision at No. 3. Mott battled to a 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 4 to give SAU control of the match. At No. 5, Pardy delivered in a tightly contested three-set thriller, rallying for a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 victory. Ellie Murray added the fifth and final point with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 6 to seal the result.
