Baseball Takes Down Siena Heights in Non-Conference Action

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team earned a convincing non-conference road win on Wednesday night, defeating Siena Heights University 13-3.

The Cougars have now won nine of their last 11 games and improve to 20-14 overall on the season.

Spring Arbor fell behind 2-0 after the opening inning but quickly responded in the second, plating three runs to take the lead. Jack Beyer delivered the big hit of the inning with a two-RBI triple.

SAU continued to build momentum, scoring eight runs over the next three innings to pull away.

Beyer led the offensive effort, going 2-for-2 with four RBIs and a run scored. Eli DeVisser and Joey Tessmer each added two hits, with DeVisser crossing the plate three times and Tessmer driving in two runs.

On the mound, Jack Sayler settled in after the first inning to toss two scoreless frames. The bullpen quartet of Brody Pruitt, Mitchell DuBois, Jaxon Millican and Kyle Kantola combined for six strong innings, allowing just one run on three hits.

Spring Arbor will return to action on Thursday, April 9, traveling to Fort Wayne, Indiana to face the University of Saint Francis in a doubleheader.
