SPRING ARBOR, Mich. — Spring Arbor University Athletics continued its strong run of success during the 2025-26 season, earning a third place finish in the final Crossroads League All-Sports Trophy standings, as announced by the conference office.
 
Indiana Wesleyan University claimed the All-Sports Trophy with 166.0 points, followed by Marian University with 163.5. Spring Arbor finished third with a school-record 124.5 points.
 
The third-place finish matches SAU's highest placement since the 2011-12 season, when the Cougars finished second, and marks the second consecutive year Spring Arbor has placed third in the league standings.
 
The Cougars delivered strong performances across the department throughout the year, highlighted by a Crossroads League regular season championship in women's bowling. Men's bowling finished second in the regular season standings, while men's soccer and women's basketball each placed third. Spring Arbor also earned third place finishes at the Crossroads League Championships in men's cross country, competitive cheer and men's outdoor track & field.
 
Women's Soccer and softball each finished fourth in the regular season standings while men's indoor track & field and women's outdoor track & field landed fourth at their championship meets.
 
The Crossroads League All-Sports Trophy recognizes overall athletic department success across the conference. Points are awarded based on each team's finish in the regular season standings, or championship meet finish for cross country, golf, competitive cheer and indoor and outdoor track & field. A first-place finish is worth 10 points, with each subsequent place earning one fewer point.
