ALBION, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University men's soccer team rallied from an early deficit and used a late goal from
Caleb Swartzendruber to defeat Albion College 2-1 on Tuesday night.
The victory kept the Cougars perfect at 4-0 on the season while Albion fell to 0-1.
Albion struck first, finding the back of the net in the 21st minute to put Spring Arbor behind for the first time this season.

Jesse Sangster, who scored his first career goal to level the match at 1-1 heading into halftime.
The score remained deadlocked through much of the second half until Swartzendruber provided the difference in the 83rd minute.
Will Kuiphof picked up the assist as Swartzendruber found the back of the net for his team-leading fourth goal of the season, giving SAU a 2-1 advantage.
Spring Arbor protected the lead over the final minutes to secure its fourth consecutive victory to open the season.
The two sides were nearly even in shots, with the Cougars holding an 11-10 advantage.
Soren Goubely Dondaine made four saves in goal for SAU.
Spring Arbor (4-0) returns home Saturday, Sept. 5 to host Eastern Oregon University at the Cougar Soccer Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
