TECUMSEH, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's golf team opened its 2026-27 season at the Irish Hills Invitational, played at Tecumseh Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.
 
The Cougars finished ninth in the nine-team field with a 36-hole team score of 806. After opening the tournament with a 413 on Friday, SAU improved by 20 strokes in Saturday's final round, carding a 393.
 
Hannah Stimer led the way for Spring Arbor, earning a top-20 finish in a field of nearly 50 golfers. The sophomore opened with an 87 before shooting an 88 in the final round to finish with a two-day total of 175, placing 17th overall.
 
Spring Arbor returns to competition Sept. 21-22 at the Battle at Stonehenge, hosted by Grace College at Stonehenge Golf Club in Winona Lake, Indiana.
