Gerry Lobdell

Gerry Lobdell is in his sixth full season as the head coach of the Spring Arbor bowling teams.

Since taking over the programs, Lobdell has taken the Cougars to new heights. He helped guid the women's side to Crossroads League championships in 2021-22 and 2022-23, as well as an NAIA National Championship bid in both seasons, while also leading the men's team to a conference runner-up finish in 2021-22 and a national championship appearance in 2022-23.

Lobdell, who served on staff as an assistant coach at SAU for two years, brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the position. A Jackson, Michigan native, he has been involved in the sport for more than 30 years, including serving as the head coach at Northwest High School in Jackson for the past 20 years.

Lobdell holds a United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Bronze Certification. He earned his associate's degree from Jackson College and his bachelor's degree from Spring Arbor University.

Lobdell and his wife, Lynsay, reside in Jackson with their three sons, Jaxon, Jacoby and Jadon.
