The upcoming season will mark Ryan Frost’s 10th year at the helm of the women's basketball program. Since his arrival the program has seen steady improvement, including 10 wins in 2012-13, 11 wins in 2013-14 and 17 wins in 2015-16 - the most wins in a single season since 2003-04.

Frost came to SAU from Taylor University where he served as an assistant in the men’s basketball program under NAIA Hall of Fame coach Paul Patterson. Prior to Taylor, he was the lead assistant and Head JV Coach at fellow Crossroads League member Mount Vernon Nazarene University. In his seven years at MVNU, the Cougars made six trips to the NAIA National Tournament along with compiling a 176-53 record.

Frost also gained valuable experience at the NCAA Division I level while on staff at Valparaiso University in 2000-01. That year, the Crusaders played in the NCAA Tournament, losing to the eventual national champion, Michigan State University.

The Clifton Park, N.Y. native earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene College in 1998 and a Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration from Ball State University in 2003.

Ryan and his wife, Joni, have four daughters, Bria, Campbelle, Lila and Annika. The Frost family resides in Spring Arbor.
