Biography
Junior - Back - Brighton High School
Curtis returns to the Cougar's roster as a junior in 2010. A skilled and simple player, Curtis earned a starting spot early in her freshman year and never looked back.
Coach's Comments - "Alyssa was the backbone of our defense last season. She continues to get better and become more comfortable in our defensive system. Curtis is a fantastic one on one defender. Her speed, patience and intelligence are a great mix, and I know that she's only going to get better as she continues to mature as a player."
2009-10 - Appeared and started in all 21 Lady Cougar games as a sophomore... scored one goal and passed out four assists as a center back... registered eight shots, putting four on frame... named NCCAA Midwest All Region and second team NCCAA All American.
2008-09 - Appeared and started in all 23 Spring Arbor University matches in 2008 as a true freshman... passed out one assist and registered six shots playing primarily as an outside back... took a game high three shots against Huntington University (10/14/2008)... passed out first career assist against Taylor University (10/4/2008).
High School - Curtis was a four year varsity player for perennial MHSAA division I power Brighton High School. As a senior the athletic Bulldog defender served her team as a captain. Curtis marked and shut down some of the top forwards in the state and has the speed, intelligence and experience necessary to make a smooth transition to the college level. She's garnered all conference, all district, all county and all region laurels while playing for Brighton. Curtis has also been successful as a club player and has played for the Michigan Hawks, Novi Jaguars and most recently Michigan Futbol Club throughout her career.
