Photo Gallery | The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team defeated Purdue-Calumet on Saturday in a hard fought game. The Cougars beat PC, 59-47, to improve their record to 3-1.
The Lady Cougars took an early lead and never looked back. Spring Arbor went into half time with a 28-20 lead over PC, a margin which they extended in the second half. The Cougars were led by senior Lindsey Norman who scored 15 points and had a team high of nine rebounds for the game.
Jen Moor and Melissa Tejki contributed to the Lady Cougar victory by scoring in the double digits with 12 and 10 points respectively. Spring Arbor teammates Courtney Smith and Moor helped grab critical rebounds. Both Smith and Moor gained seven rebounds for the team.
The Lady Cougars are back at it on Tuesday, November 13, in Grand Rapids at 7:00 P.M. against Cornerstone.
