MOUNT VERNON, OH – Close, but not enough for the Lady Cougar Volleyball team losing in three sets, 25-23, 25-22, 25-21 to Mount Vernon Nazarene in Ohio on Friday night.
Rebekah Kujat collected 10 kills and Alyssa Frees added nine kills to lead the Cougars on the offensive side and a trio of Cougars had double digit digs, including Lyndsay Murray with 16, Tenille Marowelli with 13 and Gabby Corwin with 12 for SAU.
"Although we played a very in control match, we could not create a finish and found ourselves on the verge in every set," said Head Coach, Carol Gates.
The Cougars will stay on the road and visit Taylor University tomorrow afternoon for a 4:00 p.m. match before returning to Spring Abror.
