MISHAWAKA, IN – Bethel College proved to be too much to handle for the Spring Arbor University volleyball team on Wednesday night. The Pilots swept the Cougars in straight sets 25-21, 25-12, 25-17 on the Bethel Campus.
Lyndsay Murray totaled a match high, 26 digs on the night.
"Bethel is a team we match up well against but tonight we struggled to keep their hitters at bay," said Coach, Carol Gates. "They are a team that plays a relentless defensive style similar to ours so it was hard to get balls down on them. Injuries have plagued our lineup and we have not been a full roster since preseason."
Spring Arbor falls to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in the Crossroads League. The next four matches are all home for the Lady Cougars beginning with this Friday and Saturday with Mount Vernon Nazarene at 7:00 Friday night, and Taylor University at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
