SPRING ARBOR, MI – Spring Arbor Volleyball Cougars lost to the Mount Vernon Nazarene Cougars in straight sets on Friday night on the SAU Campus 25-13, 25-12, 25-18. The loss drops the Cougars in the Crossroads standings with a 1-4 mark and their overall record drops to 5-8. Mount Vernon improves to 2-3 in the CL.
Rebekah Kujat took control of the Cougar offense with a match high 12 kills. For the season, Kujat has 118 kills in 13 matches which trails only Alyssa Frees, who leads the Cougars with 124 kills.
The Lady Cougars will play again Saturday night against the visiting Taylor University Trojans with a match start time of 7:00 pm.
