SPRING ARBOR, MI – Spring Arbor University's volleyball team trailed Marian University by two sets to none and started to stage a comeback against the Knights, but fell short 11-25, 21-25, 25-20, 23-25.

The Cougars started slowly but gained momentum during the second set and fought back with great defense and timely kills, many by Alyssa Frees and Rebekah Kujat.  The third set was won by Spring Arbor and put the pressure squarely on Marian and continued into the fourth set where Spring Arbor made a bid to take it into the fifth set, but fell just short 23-25.
