Cougars Swept in Crossroads League Play at Marian

INDIANAPOLIS – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team lost to Marian University in straight sets (9-25, 16-25, 15-25) on Wednesday night in Crossroads League action.

Sophomore Gabrielle Hilliard handed out 12 assists in the match. Classmate Rebekah Kujat finished with a team-high seven kills while junior Emily Verhage added five and freshman Leah Rose had four.

Senior Lyndsay Murray led the defensive effort with 20 digs. Sophomore Alexis Long and freshman Courtney Kyser recorded two blocks apiece.

Up next, the Cougars travel to Mount Vernon, Ohio on Friday, Sept. 16 for a 6 p.m. tilt with the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Cougars.
