SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team dropped its final match of the 2015 season 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-18) to the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) on Saturday.

Spring Arbor (5-27, 1-17 CL) got off to a fast start opening a 10-6 lead in the first set, but Saint Francis (13-21, 7-11 CL) clawed its way back with a 5-0 run to jump in front. The two teams would trade points battling to 18-18 before the visiting Cougars used a 3-1 scoring spurt to pull ahead and eventually win the opening frame.

After taking a 5-1 advantage, the Cougars maintained the lead until USF tallied five unanswered points to go ahead 12-10. Spring Arbor would continue to fight pushing the score to 17-17 before the visitors posted a 6-1 run en route to picking up the second set.

In the third set, Saint Francis would use a pair of early scoring runs to build an insurmountable lead and complete the sweep of Spring Arbor.
