MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team wrapped up a three-match road swing with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-17) loss at Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Tuesday night.
Mount Vernon, which is receiving votes in the Top 25 poll, remained unbeaten and improved its record to 20-0 on the season and 12-0 in the Crossroads League while Spring Arbor slipped to 5-16 overall with a 1-10 mark in league play.
Rebekah Kujat and Leah Rose led the attack with eight and seven kills, respectively. Kasey Follis and Annica Stotz handed out 10 assists apiece while Stotz added three service aces.
Defensively, Kayleigh Bytwerk picked up a team-best 12 digs and Rose registered 10. Follis finished with a season-high five blocks while Courtney Kyser and Olivia Landis followed with four and three.
After playing six of its last seven matches on the road, Spring Arbor returns to home for three straight contests beginning with No. 24 Indiana Wesleyan University (16-3, 9-1 CL) on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
