MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team dropped a four-set decision (25-18, 16-25, 5-25, 15-25) at Crossroads League opponent Bethel College on Wednesday night.
The Cougars pounced on the Pilots early, hitting .414 as a team to claim the first set, but BC answered with a second set victory en route to capturing its third straight win.
Freshman Annica Stotz recorded her first career double-double posting 14 assists and 11 digs – both team-highs. Fellow freshman Kasey Follis also finished with double-digit assists with 12 while adding six digs and four kills. Junior Rebekah Kujat registered nine kills and sophomore Leah Rose chipped in six.
Spring Arbor (4-11, 0-5 Crossroads League) will continue its road swing with a trip to Grace College (8-8, 0-4 Crossroads League) on Friday, Sept. 18 followed by a stop at Huntington University (1-3, 1-3 Crossroads League) on Saturday, Sept. 19.
