FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Fresh off a five-set victory over Goshen College, the Spring Arbor University volleyball team looked to make it two in a row when it visited the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon. However, USF prevailed in three sets 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.
Junior Rebekah Kujat, who matched her career-high with 26 kills against the Maple Leafs Friday night, led the Cougars tonight with 11. Sophomores Olivia Landis and Leah Rose followed with five kills apiece. Freshman Kasey Follis handed out 17 assists and senior Kayleigh Bytwerk registered a team-high three aces and 12 digs.
At the midpoint of the Crossroads League schedule, Spring Arbor stands out 5-14 overall and 1-8 in the league. The Cougars will wrap up their road swing with trips to Taylor University on Wednesday, Sept. 30 and Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
