SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's soccer team is heading back to the Crossroads League Tournament Championship match following Saturday's 5-1 semifinal win over Indiana Wesleyan University. Senior Corrie Good led the way for the Cougars, scoring three goals to record her second career hat trick.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Not only did Good find the back of the net three times on the night, but recorded a natural hat trick, scoring the first three goals of the match. She got the scoring started in the 33rd minute before striking again just over two minutes later.
- After giving the Cougars a 2-0 lead heading into halftime, Good tacked on one more goal in the opening minutes of the second half.
- Good was not done yet, however, as she assisted on a goal by freshman Morgan Marshall in the 52nd minute to give SAU a commanding 4-0 advantage.
- Crossroads League Player of the Year Bethany Balcer capped the scoring for the Cougars with a header goal in the 65th minute from Renee Broekhuizen.
- Spring Arbor outshot Indiana Wesleyan 18-6 on the night, and held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
- Goalkeeper Ashley Timmons closed the match with two saves.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- Spring Arbor advances to its seventh straight Crossroads League Tournament Championship match. The Cougars have won the conference tournament title in each of their six previous trips.
- The three goals by Good give her nine on the season, which is tied for second on the team and fifth in the conference.
FOR THE WILDCATS
- Olivia Schmidt scored the lone goal for Indiana Wesleyan in the 66th minute off a cross from Lexis Garcia. It was the eighth tally of the season for Schmidt.
- Garcia and Tristen Gonzalez recorded two shots apiece for IWU.
- Goalkeeper Alex Seabeck finished the match with seven saves.
UP NEXT
For the second straight season, Spring Arbor will host Marian University (12-7-1) in the Crossroads League Tournament Championship. The top-seeded, and No. 1 ranked, Cougars and third-seeded Knights will take the field on Saturday, Nov. 12.
