SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team won its sixth straight match on Monday afternoon, defeating Lawrence Tech 6-3 from the Cougar Tennis Courts. The victory improved the Cougars to 11-5 on the season while the Blue Devils fell to 10-5.
In doubles play, Quincy Banini and Monika Wynne moved their winning streak to 10 with an 8-4 triumph at the No. 1 position. Mary-Kate McShane and Emily Joseph also held on to defeat their opponents 8-6 to give SAU a 2-1 advantage heading to singles competition.
The Cougars claimed four more points in singles to clinch the match. Banini and McShane each collected their 11th wins of the campaign, while freshmen Morgan Keeler and Brianna VanRavenswaay earned wins at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
Up next, Spring Arbor will host No. 17-ranked Davenport University (11-4) on Thursday, Mar. 24 at 4 p.m.
