WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team gave a talented Grace College team all it could handle on Tuesday afternoon, pushing three singles matches to a third set, but the Lancers managed to hold and defeat the Cougars 7-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Grace secured a 2-1 lead over Spring Arbor after doubles action.
• The team of Mary-Kate McShane and Monika Wynne earned a hard-fought, 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles.
• Barbara Haikal and Emma Joseph were defeated 8-4 at No. 2, and Brianna VanRavenswaay and Allyssa Lepard were fell 8-3 at No.3.
• Wynne claimed the lone victory for the Cougars in singles competition. After dropping the first set, the sophomore battled back to win the next two by scores of 7-6, 10-5.
• Haikal and Joseph also fought back to take their opponents to a third set, but both would ultimately fall in a 10-point tiebreaker.
