SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The No. 2 ranked Spring Arbor University women's soccer team maintained its perfect record in Crossroads League play in a 3-0 victory over rival Grace College on Saturday evening at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bethany Balcer scored a pair of first half goals, including one less than four minutes into the contest. Both goals were also assisted by Aubrey Schierbeek.
- Spring Arbor pushed the lead to 3-0 in the 56th minute following a goal from Morgan Marshall. Schierbeek dished out her third assist of the night serving a cross into the box that Marshall put away with a header.
- The Cougars dominated the match with 28 shots while holding Grace to 10.
- Ashley Timmons made four saves in the shutout.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- Spring Arbor owns a 12-1-3 record over Grace since the 2006 season.
- SAU posted its 12th shutout of the campaign. The Cougars rank second in the country with 12 clean sheets and have allowed the third-fewest goals, conceding just five all season.
- Schierbeek recorded three assists in a match for the first time in her career. She has 12 on the season, which not only leads the Crossroads League but ranks fourth in the NAIA.
- Balcer notched her 21st and 22nd goals of the season. She paces the league in that category and fourth in the nation.

Spring Arbor will host Bethel College (4-9-2, 2-4-0 CL) in its final regular season home game, and Senior Night, on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
