GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball saw its two-game win streak come to an end Saturday after suffering a 78-58 setback to non-conference foe Aquinas College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor trailed Aquinas by five at halftime, 35-30.
- The Saints used a 10-2 run early in the third quarter to break the game open. The home team outscored SAU 26-13 in the period and would never trail again.
- Aquinas was able to capitalize on the Spring Arbor miscues, turning 16 SAU turnovers into 18 points.
FOR THE COUGARS
- Anne Marie Wright was the leading scorer for Spring Arbor finishing with 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting, including 3-for-7 from behind the arc.
- Faith Johnson, Autumn Goggin and Gracie Cabana also finished in double figures. Johnson had 11 points while Goggin and Cabana recorded 10 apiece. Goggin also grabbed six rebounds and Cabana notched four assists.
- Spring Arbor was limited to a season-low 32 percent (21-for-66) from the field. The Cougars also only made it to the free throw line nine times going 6-for-9.
FOR THE SAINTS
- Aquinas was led by Ashley Bunker, who scored 16 points off the bench. Momo Neal followed with 13.
- The Saints shot 47 percent (32-for-68) on the afternoon.
- The home team got 38 points from their bench.
- Aquinas out-rebounded SAU 40-27.
