ADRIAN, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team used a 38-point performance from senior Autumn Goggin to help propel the Cougars to an 84-69 upset victory over No. 22 Siena Heights University on Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor got off to a slow start, missing its first six field goal attempts and falling behind host Siena Heights 7-0 less than three minutes into the contest.
- The Cougars came storming back, however, behind some red-hot three-point shooting. SAU went on a 13-2 run, using four triples, including two from Goggin.
- Spring Arbor broke things open in the second quarter. The Cougars shot 60 percent (9-for-15) from the floor in the period, stretching their lead to 43-24 at halftime.
- Another three-pointer from Goggin early in the third quarter gave SAU its largest lead of the night at 24 points, 48-24.
- Siena Heights made a run in the fourth quarter to trim the deficit to seven, 70-63, with 3:12 remaining. But, the Cougars were outstanding from the charity stripe going 15-for-17 in the final period to clinch the victory.
FOR THE COUGARS
- The 38 points from Goggin were a career-high for the senior. She also knocked down a career-best six three-pointers while finishing the game going 12-for-15 from the free throw line.
- Freshman Anne Marie Wright had another big game posting 19 points and hitting 4-of-5 shots from behind the arc.
- Gracie Cabana chipped in 12 points while Rachel Nelson added six and Faith Johnson finished with five. Gabby Barnett pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
- Spring Arbor shot 41 percent (23-for-56) on the night, including 13-for-26 from three-point range. The Cougars were an impressive 25-for-31 from the charity stripe.
- SAU forced Siena Heights into 19 turnovers, converting those into 25 points.
FOR THE SAINTS
- Three Saints scored in double figures, led by Ashley Perry with 19 points. Sharmaine Wills grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.
- Siena Heights was limited to 36 percent (22-for-61) shooting, including a 5-for-19 mark from long range.

Spring Arbor will travel to Aquinas College (2-2) on Saturday, Nov. 11. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
