GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team won for the seventh time in eight matches this spring, defeating Aquinas College 5-4 on Saturday afternoon at the MVP Sportsplex.
With the two sides tied 4-4, It all came down to the match being played at No. 2 singles between Monika Wynne and Haley Kuppler. Wynne claimed the first set 7-5 only to see Kuppler win the second by the same score. In the third set, Wynne trailed 5-4, but, with her back against the wall, rallied all the way back to capture the set and clinch the overall match victory for the Cougars.
