SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's soccer team saw six different players score as the No. 2 ranked Cougars defeated Cincinnati Christian University 11-0 Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor challenged the Cincinnati Christian University goalkeeper early and often, but the Eagles' Kendra Steepe was up to the challenge making seven saves in the first 16 minutes to keep the contest scoreless.
- The Cougars were able to breakthrough in the 25th minute with a goal from Aubrey Schierbeek. Schierbeek would tally another goal in the 37th minute to help give SAU a 3-0 lead at halftime.
- Spring Arbor broke things wide open in the second half, finding the back of the net eight times.
- In addition to Schierbeek, four other Cougars registered two goals, including Bethany Balcer, Abbey Fuller, Morgan Marshall, and Kendra Spencer. Balcer also added two assists.
- Ashley Timmons, Allison Keizer, and Samantha Tracey combined to make four saves and shutout the Eagles.
- Spring Arbor outshot Cincinnati Christian 59-4.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- Spring Arbor is 4-0 against Cincinnati Christian in the last four matchups, outscoring the Eagles 25-0.
- Balcer's two goals were number 63 and 64 of her career, matching the program's all-time career record held by Karly Linton (2010-13).
FOR CINCINNATI CHRISTIAN
- Cincinnati Christian finished the match with four shots, including two from Olivia Fite.
- Steepe notched 18 saves on the night.

Spring Arbor will host the Cougar Classic on Friday, Sept. 1 and Saturday, Sept. 2. The Cougars are set to play Point Park University on Friday at 7 p.m. and Lawrence Tech on Saturday at 7 p.m.
